Learning skills like coding will help me in the future. I think its necessary for marketers to be able to at least understand the basics of web design. Even if your company does have a designated “web designer” you don’t want to send back every ad or graphic they send you because you want to change the color or the font. I think it saves a lot of time and energy especially since the designer is often remote and simple changes can take more than 24 hours just because of lag time in communication.
My Previous Experience
I was a social media/marketing intern this past summer where I was enlisted to create content for 5 facebook pages, a twitter account, and edit copy for the website. I love digital and social media and I look forward to the skills that I learn in the this class being very applicable to my future career.
